[ma'sin], Léonide, russisch Leonid Fjodorowitsch Mjạssin, russischer Tänzer und Choreograph, * Moskau 9. 8. 1896, ✝ Weseke (heute zu Borken) 15. 3. 1979; war u. a. 1914-21 und 1925-28 Solotänzer und Choreograph bei den Ballets Russes in Paris. Er förderte die Entwicklung der tänzerischen Charakterkomödie, des sinfonischen Balletts und des Tanzfilms; er veröffentlichte »Massine on choreography« (1976).
 
Choreographien: Parade (1917); Der Dreispitz (1919); Pulcinella (1920); Le sacre du printemps (1921); Symphonie fantastique (1936); Nobilissima visione (1938).
 
Tanzfilme: The red shoes (1946); The tales of Hoffmann (1951).
